Repeated Exposure
By examining the incongruity between the natural shape of human feet and the constricting form of shoes, this project highlights the deformation that occurs from wearing shoes with the ubiquitous tapered toe box design, prompting the viewer to reconsider this almost universally accepted norm.
The purpose is to invite the viewer to reflect on the absurdity of certain norms and the role that repeated exposure to imagery plays in their construction and our unconscious conformity.
